Dear Apostles of the Immaculate Heart of Mary
It is my privilege to address you, today, united as one Family in the Immaculate Heart of Mary through our Daily DECADE in the Living Rosary Association of St. Philomena.
The Universal Living Rosary has for its life the very breath of the Holy Ghost and it must necessarily be full of charity: then only will it bring charity to the world! The principle of our labors is to bring the Immaculate Heart of Mary to every individual that She may form them into Jesus Christ for the glory of the Father, in time and throughout all eternity. We are called to be of firm mind and purpose, to cast aside vain fear and to summon all our powers and resources in order to achieve the Triumph of Mary’s Immaculate Heart.
Inundated by the stench of sin, bombarded by the world’s false hope of eternal health, poisoned by the lie of self-fulfillment and unending comfort, we plunge with exhilarating speed to the stark realization that we have been deceived. The promised HEAVEN ON EARTH, which we were told would be ours by right, has exploded into a man-made hell. Pride, greed and gluttony have made slaves of man. Many feel lost and have given way to despair. Mary’s Heart is filled with genuine, human sympathy; her soul is throbbing with compassion for all those who are suffering. The Rosary is the most beautiful flower of human piety and the most fruitful source of heavenly graces:
“This prayer is perfect because of the lessons it imparts,
the graces it obtains and the Triumphs it achieves.” (Pope Benedict XV)
The Living Rosary was the inspired plan of Blessed Pauline Jaricot to restore the Reign of Christ the King to France and to the whole world. Pauline looked for a way to utilize the strength of a few isolated souls and enable them to affect their spiritual vigor, drop by drop, into the souls of
others as SPIRITUAL MEDICINE.
“Nothing whatever of the magnificent treasure of grace which Christ won for us is imparted to us except through Mary. The treasures of Redemption are administered by her hands.” (Pope Leo XIII)
While Mary is completely dependent upon God, without Her, no grace is given. Pauline begged God to put at the reach of every soul the devotion of the Holy Rosary. Through the power of Association, this devotion developed in a wonderful way all over the world. Each Mystery of the Rosary of Our Lord is an infinite price and it is important for each soul to obtain this rich treasure to satisfy Divine Justice and, by so doing, to obtain the conversion of sinners, the preservation of the Faith in our own country, its propagation throughout the whole universe and the exaltation of Holy Mother the Church.
United as one, through the fire – the very breath of the Holy Ghost that burns in the Heart of the Immaculate Conception, each member unites his DECADE with all the other members, creating an inferno of charity which covers the face of the earth. The “LIVING” Rosary refers directly to this
fire of love burning in the hearts of all who take part.
Mary administers the Most Precious Blood of Jesus to us through the Holy Rosary, and delivers Its nourishment to every cell in the Mystical Body of Christ, thus passing on the principle of life that She had received from the Holy Ghost to her children. While individual devotion of souls is often a spark in the middle of darkness without the influence of a flame, through our union of charity in praying the Living Rosary, we inject this spiritual remedy into the souls of others as Spiritual Medicine. In this way, those who are strong uphold the weak, those who are fervent inspire the lukewarm and the spiritually rich enrich the poor. He who prays the Rosary alone receives the graces and merits of one Rosary. Those who are united with the whole, receive the graces and merits of TWENTY million Rosaries every day. Such is the infinite power of our union of charity formed in the Heart of the Immaculate Conception!
The Immaculate Conception is the FOUNTAIN OF GRACE that communicates divine life to the souls of her children. Mary will shelter, nourish, protect and defend us as She tenderly carries us in her arms, pressing us to her Immaculate Heart. The fruit of the Redemption belongs to God alone, the pardon is His, the grace is His and the love is His, but the conveyance of them all He has placed within the Heart of Mary! They are transmitted to us through the gift of her Heart: THROUGH THE PRAYER OF THE MOST HOLY ROSARY!
The magnificent work of Blessed Pauline Jaricot triggered a true spiritual renewal of society in the 19th Century; it can do so again today! Let everyone take up his DECADE in the Living Rosary. Our Lady of the Rosary asks us to take her hand and She will lead us out of the treacherous bogs
into which we have fallen.
GO FORWARD WITH COURAGE! Mary will see you safely Home, united throughout all eternity with the Most Blessed Trinity.
